Apple's iWork apps add MCP support for third-party AI agents

Keynote, Pages and Numbers support the Model Context Protocol (MCP), a standard interface connecting AI agents to apps, on macOS 27 or later. Third-party agents can read, edit or generate document content through it. The support accompanies Apple's Intelligent Assistant, in beta on Apple Intelligence-compatible devices. Reporting so far does not detail the permission model governing those agents.
