Apple's iWork apps add Model Context Protocol support for third-party AI agents

Keynote, Pages, and Numbers support the Model Context Protocol (MCP) on macOS 27 or later, letting third-party AI agents read, edit, or generate document content through a defined interface. The support accompanies Apple's Intelligent Assistant, now in beta for Apple Intelligence-compatible devices. The reporting so far does not detail the permission model governing those agents.
