Man Utd's hierarchy explored replacing Michael Carrick, but he stays for Chelsea

Manchester United's hierarchy has explored replacing Michael Carrick, with Eddie Howe and Julian Nagelsmann among the names considered, the BBC reports. Nothing has been decided. Carrick remains in charge for Saturday's trip to Chelsea. A 3-0 defeat by Bournemouth left United one place above the relegation zone, and they have gone eight matches without a win.
