Sensible Sentencing Trust removes politicians' images from 'Backing the Gangs' ads

The Sensible Sentencing Trust has removed images of Chris Hipkins, Chlöe Swarbrick and Marama Davidson from its election attack ads but kept the 'BACKING THE GANGS' message. Asked whether the ad could be mistaken for a party campaign ad, national director Louise Parsons said it was "satire". The Greens have complained to the Advertising Standards Authority, the advertising watchdog.
