Jordan Launches Air Strikes in Syria After Church Shooting; At Least Seven Killed

Jordan launched air strikes inside Syria on October 26, 2026, targeting hideouts of armed groups it says are linked to an October 23 church shooting in Jordan that killed nine. At least seven people, including a woman and children, were killed in the strikes, which hit Syria's Deraa and Suwayda provinces. Jordan says the strikes were coordinated with Syria; Damascus denies prior coordination.
