Payman accuses Albanese of being "petty" over extra staff
Independent senator Fatima Payman has accused Prime Minister Anthony Albanese of being "petty" for not granting her extra staff. She made the claim at a late-night Senate estimates hearing, where senators question officials about spending, on 27 October. Payman says she requested an extra adviser two years ago and the prime minister has yet to process it.
