Flávio Bolsonaro refuses to concede defeat to Lula and calls for Brazil's election to be annulled
Flávio Bolsonaro has refused to concede defeat in Brazil's presidential runoff. He has called for the election to be annulled, meaning declared void. Brazil's electoral authority declared Luiz Inácio Lula da Silva the winner on Sunday, with 51.8 per cent of the vote to Bolsonaro's 48.2 per cent. Lula called it "a defeat for denialism and lies."
