Former RAAF pilot pleads not guilty to murdering wife, prosecution says death was staged
Former RAAF (Royal Australian Air Force) pilot Robert Crawford, 49, pleaded not guilty in Brisbane Supreme Court to murdering his wife, psychologist Frances Crawford. The prosecution alleges he killed her by strangulation or heavy blows, staged her death as an accident near Toowoomba to avoid financial loss in a divorce, keep the house and keep his superannuation (retirement savings).
