Ofcom finds no significant change in children's exposure to social media harm after safety rules
Ofcom, the UK online safety regulator, says its child safety measures have not reduced the share of children suffering social media harm. Its review found no significant change in children's exposure to harmful content in the nine months after rules took effect in July 2025. Ofcom called the lack of change concerning. It has shared its assessment with Culture Secretary Lisa Nandy.
