Producer Ken Atchity, of The Meg, dies at 82

Ken Atchity, producer of The Meg (2018) and Joe Somebody (2001), died on 19 October 2026 at age 82 after a brief illness, his family announced on Facebook. The Hollywood Reporter reported that he died of kidney failure at Cedars-Sinai Medical Center in Los Angeles, and his producing partner Chi-Li Wong confirmed the death to the trade.
