Tesla swaps paid robotaxi miles for unsupervised miles in shareholder letter

Tesla's October 2026 shareholder letter replaced its "Cumulative Paid Robotaxi Miles" chart, used in the second-quarter letter, with "Cumulative Unsupervised Robotaxi Miles" (no human monitor). On the Q3 earnings call, CFO Vaibhav Taneja said Tesla is "seeing utilization improving" but gave no figures. In April, Tesla had said paid miles nearly doubled sequentially in Q1 2026.
