Tesla swaps paid robotaxi miles for unsupervised miles in shareholder letter

Tesla's October 2026 shareholder letter replaced its "Cumulative Paid Robotaxi Miles" chart, used in the second-quarter letter, with "Cumulative Unsupervised Robotaxi Miles." Asked about paid miles on the third-quarter earnings call, CFO Vaibhav Taneja said Tesla is "seeing utilization improving" but gave no specifics. Tesla said in April that paid miles nearly doubled sequentially in Q1 2026.
