Te Pāti Māori co-leader Debbie Ngarewa-Packer announces her mother's death

Te Pāti Māori co-leader Debbie Ngarewa-Packer has announced the death of her mother, Colleen Ngarewa, at the whānau (family) home in Patea. Her mother died surrounded by whānau and friends, RNZ reported. Ngarewa-Packer had stepped back from the campaign in September while her mother was unwell. Election day is 7 November.
