UN food agency halves Gaza food rations and cuts people it supports, citing funding shortfall

The UN World Food Programme (WFP) said funding shortages forced it to halve food rations in Gaza, cutting families from two parcels to one. The number of people it supports fell from 1.6 million in September to 1.1 million in October. About 1.4 million people face acute food insecurity, meaning crisis-level hunger or worse, WFP said.
