Pakistan Arrests Man Accused of $126 Million Fake US Postage Scheme
Pakistan's cybercrime agency has arrested Faheem Akram, 33, accused of running a counterfeit postage scheme that caused $126 million (£94m) in losses to the US Postal Service. Counterfeit postage means fake stamps or shipping labels. US prosecutors say Akram sold them through LabelsBank.com, a website, since 2023. A Florida federal grand jury indicted him. The charges are allegations.
