AFP charging almost one person a week for targeting federal politicians, commissioner says

AFP Commissioner Krissy Barrett says police are charging almost one person a week for targeting federal MPs, senators or senior office holders. She made the point at a press conference with Victoria Police on the alleged attack on Indi MP Helen Haines. Barrett said people making online threats are often "absolutely shocked" when officers arrive.
