Electric Plant's Bombadil Translates Crop Stem Signals
Electric Plant has built Bombadil, a large language model — AI trained on text and data — that decodes electrical signals in plant stems into guidance for growers. After three years collecting data it covers about 125 species. Founded by Justin Mast and DARPA-linked neuroscientist Lee von Kraus, the company claims higher yields with 20% or more less water.
