Brazil court gives Meta 24 hours to prove equal treatment of candidates
Brazil's top electoral court gave Meta 24 hours to show it is not favouring either presidential candidate, doubling the daily fine for noncompliance to 1 million reals ($200,000). The order follows a complaint from President Lula's campaign about Instagram visibility. Meta denies bias, citing technical errors. The runoff between Lula and Flavio Bolsonaro is on Oct. 25.
