Megachurch pastor runs as Democrat for U.S. Senate in Kansas

Reverend Adam Hamilton, founder of the Church of the Resurrection, considered the largest United Methodist congregation in the U.S. with nine campuses and 23,000 members, is running as a Democrat for U.S. Senate in Kansas in the Nov. 3, 2026 election. No Democrat has won a Senate race in the state since 1932.
