Apache North Sea strike could disrupt UK fuel supplies, union warns

More than 160 workers on five Apache platforms in the North Sea will hold a 24-hour strike from 6am Wednesday, 21 October, over pay, union Unite says. Unite warns it could severely disrupt UK fuel supplies because the platforms feed the Forties pipeline system, which carries about 30% of UK oil.
