Dutch heir Catharina-Amalia promoted to sergeant

Princess Catharina-Amalia of the Netherlands, the 22-year-old heir to the Dutch throne, was promoted to sergeant on Oct. 17. The ceremony took place aboard the Statsraad Lehmkuhl, a Norwegian training ship docked in Den Helder, during an "alle hens," when the full crew gathers on deck. She sails with first-year midshipmen in a naval rotation.
