Musixmatch announces acquisition of Music Reports in first deal in 16 years

Musixmatch has announced the acquisition of Los Angeles-based Music Reports, owner of the Songdex copyright registry, on 19 October. The Bologna company said it is its first acquisition in 16 years. Financial terms were not disclosed, Music Business Worldwide reported. Musixmatch described the deal as a shift to a full-stack rights and royalties platform.
