Figma announced Figma Specs at its first Config event in India. The tool is a text-based editor — using Markdown, a simple formatting system — for writing down design rules. Specs can stand alone or sit on the design canvas, linking to elements and pulling in diagrams, code and examples, so Figma and outside AI agents follow brand guidelines.
