X suspends 13,000 accounts over suspected Iran, Russia, China influence operations

X said it suspended more than 13,000 accounts tied to three suspected foreign influence operations linked to Iran, Russia and China. The company announced the action ahead of the November 3 US midterm elections. It said it found the accounts through proactive sweeps under rules against spam and coordinated inauthentic behaviour, or organised misleading-account activity.
