Atlanta engineer releases free open-source rival to Adobe tools

Atlanta engineer Brandon Thomas released ArtCraft, a free, open-source rebuild of Adobe Creative Suite anyone can use and modify. It includes PhotoCraft for Photoshop, FilmCraft for Premiere Pro and EffectCraft for After Effects, plus others. Thomas blames cancellation-fee frustration; Adobe charges individuals $779.99 yearly upfront. Matching Adobe solo will be hard.
