Joni Mitchell was sworn in as a U.S. citizen on Oct. 13, 2026, Rolling Stone reported. The Canadian-born singer, who lives in Los Angeles, announced it on Instagram with a photo holding an American flag and video of her documents. She captioned the post: "A journey that began 62 years ago."
