CNN, MS NOW and Politico reporters can keep covering the White House for now. On October 14, 2026, U.S. District Judge Timothy Kelly extended his block on President Donald Trump's effort to exclude them. The protection lasts until a final ruling or an appeal decision. Kelly, appointed by Trump, first restored their access September 24 after Trump's September 18 ban.
