Cambridge Heavy Industries reveals tabletop laser fusion device, raises $6.2M

Cambridge Heavy Industries has come out of stealth in Cambridge, Massachusetts, showing a small, modular laser fusion reactor — a compact device that fuses atoms for energy — built near MIT. Co-founder and CEO Yun Kai said it raised a $6.2 million early seed round led by Azolla Ventures, aiming for a power plant in about ten years.
