Netflix Confirms Layoff of About 1,000 Staff

Netflix confirmed Oct. 14, 2026 it is cutting about 1,000 jobs, roughly 6% of its workforce. The company confirmed the cuts to TechCrunch after the Wall Street Journal first reported them, citing an internal memo from co-CEOs Ted Sarandos and Greg Peters. Netflix employed 16,000 full-time staff at the end of last year.
