SH1 west of Kawakawa back to 80km/h after year at 100km/h

The speed limit on SH1 just west of Kawakawa is back to 80km/h from Monday, NZTA says, a little over a year after it was raised to 100km/h. AA Northland chair Tracey Rissetto said the change will confuse motorists and may leave some out of pocket, with a speed camera installed there in 2024 still in place.
