SH1 west of Kawakawa returns to 80km/h after year at 100km/h

NZTA says the speed limit on SH1 just west of Kawakawa returned to 80km/h on Monday, a little more than a year after it was raised to 100km/h. AA Northland chair Tracey Rissetto said the change will confuse motorists and may leave some out of pocket, with a speed camera installed on the stretch in 2024 still in place.
