UK PM Confirms Russian Effort to Sway 2016 Brexit Vote

UK Prime Minister Andy Burnham confirmed Oct. 12 that Russia tried to influence the 2016 Brexit referendum. He said voters were not sufficiently informed about foreign efforts to disrupt UK democracy and that he asked about interference upon entering No 10. Conservatives called him 'dangerous and divisive'; Liberal Democrat leader Ed Davey praised the disclosure.
