Labour would scrap AI strategy; National would keep it

Labour told RNZ it would replace the July 2025 national AI strategy, 'Investing with Confidence', with an action plan for high-level oversight, similar to Australia's system. National technology spokesperson Penny Simmonds said National would keep the strategy, which she said was balanced and matched to the risks.
