Labour promises on-site school lunches from 2028

Labour says, if elected, it would bring back the previous school lunch programme from Term 1, 2028. It says lunches for the 244,400 students at 1014 schools already in the scheme would be cooked on site, by iwi and hapū partners or local firms, at $5 a meal, or $6.50 for Years 9 to 13.
