Labour would reinstate on-site school lunches from 2028
Labour says it would reinstate the former school lunch programme from Term 1 2028 if elected. The party says meals for the 244,400 students in 1014 schools already in the scheme would be made in school kitchens, by iwi and hapū partners or local caterers, at $5 per meal and $6.50 for Years 9 to 13.
