Cloudflare Buys Deno to Strengthen Workers Platform

Cloudflare is acquiring Deno, the startup behind the Deno runtime, the system for running code, to improve its Workers programming model and platform. Announced Oct 9, 2026. Workers lets customers build and run software on Cloudflare's network. Terms were not disclosed. Deno had raised $26 million, with its Series A led by Sequoia.
