Cloudflare to Acquire Deno Runtime Startup

Cloudflare is acquiring Deno, the startup behind the Deno programming runtime, to improve its Workers programming model and platform. The deal was announced October 9, 2026. Workers lets customers build and run software on Cloudflare's network. Financial terms were not disclosed. Deno had raised $26 million, with its Series A led by Sequoia.
