FCC leaves Hasan execution TV decision to Pentagon

FCC Chairman Brendan Carr, the broadcast regulator, said Oct. 9 he will leave the decision to Defense Secretary Pete Hegseth on whether TV networks can show the Dec. 3 firing-squad execution of convicted Fort Hood shooter Nidal Hasan at Fort Hood. Carr said no broadcast TV airing is planned, so the FCC has no role.
