King Charles paid £1.5 million Royal Lodge repair bill

King Charles III paid about £1.5 million ($2 million) to the Crown Estate, the public portfolio that manages royal lands, for repairs at Royal Lodge. The sum covers wear-and-tear costs after his brother Andrew Mountbatten-Windsor surrendered the Windsor mansion's lease about 50 years early. The King used private funds.
