Iraq to Ban Israeli-Developed Waze by 2027

Iraq will block navigation app Waze by the end of December, with the ban taking effect at the start of 2027. Communications Minister Mustafa Sanad says the reason is its Israeli origins. Waze was developed in Israel and bought by Google in 2013. Iraq does not recognize Israel and has formally been at war with it since 1948.
