WoF checks go two-yearly for cars aged 4 to 14 from November

New cars will not need a second Warrant of Fitness (WoF safety check) for four years. Cars aged 4 to 14 will shift from yearly to two-yearly checks from 1 November 2026, NZTA said, as reported by RNZ. Associate Transport Minister James Meager said it was commonsense modernisation of vehicle inspection.
