Ottawa's main economy bill passes first vote

Ottawa’s main economy bill cleared its first test in Parliament on Oct. 8. Bill C-39, called the Building Canada Strong Act, won support from Conservative MPs. It now goes to a special committee — like a small work team — that will look at it closely.
