Amazon Moves Kids and Alexa Tablets to Android With Full Play Store

Amazon is releasing Kids Tablets and Alexa Tablets that run Android with full access to the Google Play Store, the main catalog for Android apps. A Parent Dashboard app comes built in for setting screen-time limits, reviewing use, and approving each download, managed from iPhone or Android apps. Parents keep control over which apps and content children can open.
