Apple-LG Accessories May Offer Tap-to-Control in Dynamic Island

Apple home accessories built with LG would include NFC 'Proximity Control,' according to an Oct. 9 leak reported by The Verge. Holding an iPhone near a device would show controls in the Dynamic Island, the interactive notch area. It would use Matter, the smart-home standard, but only work with Apple Home. Code references date to iOS 27.0.
