Manus Parent Raises Over $500M After $2B Meta Deal Collapse

Butterfly Effect, the Chinese company behind AI startup Manus, said Oct. 8, 2026 it raised over $500 million. It is the first funding since Meta's $2 billion plan to buy the company fell apart. Boyu Capital and IDG Capital led the round, joined by Tencent, HSG and ZhenFund. No valuation, or estimated worth, was disclosed.
