
Company Behind AI Firm Manus Raises Over $500 Million After Meta Sale Falls Apart
Butterfly Effect, the Chinese company that owns AI maker Manus, said Oct. 8, 2026 it collected over $500 million from investors. It is the first outside money since a $2 billion sale to Meta collapsed. Boyu Capital and IDG Capital led the funding, with Tencent, HSG and ZhenFund also contributing. The company did not say what it is worth.
