Former MP Shahid Malik Cleared Over Covid Testing Firm Charges

Shahid Malik, 58, former Labour MP for Dewsbury from 2005 to 2010, was cleared by a judge at Bradford Crown Court of fraudulent trading, meaning dishonest business, public nuisance and money laundering, meaning hiding illegal profits, linked to RT Diagnostics. Malik co-founded the Halifax firm in March 2021, which made £6.67m in three weeks by issuing false negative Covid results.
