Powderfinger wipes website and socials, sends cipher email on Oct. 8

Powderfinger sent a cipher email from HQ on Oct. 8 as its official website and social accounts were scrubbed save for one mysterious red letter, Billboard reported. The email showed the cipher in white over a red background with free-verse text. No tour, single or album was confirmed. The band has been dormant since its 2010 farewell tour.
