
Queen Mette-Marit to have no official duties until next summer after lung transplant
Norway's Queen Mette-Marit will have no official schedule until next summer as she continues rehabilitation after a June lung transplant. The Norwegian Royal Palace announced the extended pause. Diagnosed in 2018 with chronic pulmonary fibrosis, a scarring lung condition, she left hospital in July. The palace then said she would take six months with no engagements.
