Hackers hijack Asos app alerts to push Snowflake extortion threat

On October 6, hackers took over Asos's app notification system to send UK shoppers a blackmail message meant for its data protection officer and IT staff. It claimed Asos's Snowflake cloud database was fully breached and threatened to publish stolen data unless Asos made contact, pointing to a Telegram channel said to be run by Xuanye Group.
